Muscat - Oman's Jewel

Muscat has the tendency to surprise me after every visit. We went to Muscat (the capital city of Oman) during our short April holiday. We combined a birthday party with a bit of sightseeing and shopping. We took our friends to the Grand Mosque and went to the Armed Forces Museum to slurp up some history and culture. The Mutrah Souq was also high on our to do list during this trip. What is a holiday without eating all the things Tim Noakes warned you about? So we've made sure that we indulges in all that Muscat has to offer.

2D's - Dubai and 1 Direction

Dubai has become one of my many favourite cities! It is only a 2 hour drive from Sohar and the journey to Dubai is filled with funny moments with my friends in the car. The main reason for the weekend was the One Direction concert on the Saturday. Somewhat reluctant to go see the boy band, my friends convinced me to go along.

We went all touristy and saw a few sights over the weekend. One of the many highlights was going up the Burj Khalifa for the second time, but this time at night. Dubai doesn't disappoint when it comes to a vibrant nightlife. To see Dubai from the sky was awesome! A big thanks to my friends for an awesome weekend!

My first exhibition

I can tick one of my bucket list items off! I were part of our school's Art exhibition and 15 of my photos were on display. What a proud moment! The event took place at the Sohar Souq Gallery. It took some time to sort out the best ones, but it was all worth it! Here are a few photos that were on display!
